Zandra and I took a quick day trip to Central Park. Quick, because soon after this pic was taken (we took a ride on a huge Carousel, beautiful with some of the largest hand-carved horses in the country) there was an unexpected thunderstorm. Turns out NY weather is much like Melbourne weather. We took shelter under a nearby bridge and waited about 20 minutes until it passed. Here we met Tom; a retired high school science teacher who 'doesn't like material things, but ideas and concepts; wide open spaces and wilderness areas' (you kind to have to imagine a typical Noo York accent ...) Zandra and I seem to be attracting these weird people who just want to talk to us (and people think Noo Yorkers aren't friendly ...) Mind you, they've all been men ... apart from one woman ... who was a lesbian ... Things that make you go hmmm?
